Whether you want to host a ground station that keeps our balloons connected, or join us at a community launch to send a balloon into the stratosphere yourself, there’s a way to be part of the mission.

Host a ground station
WindBorne’s weather balloons fly around the world collecting atmospheric data—but that data only becomes a forecast when it reaches us. Our ground stations, called Comms Nerves, are the link. Each one picks up transmissions from our balloons as they pass overhead and relays the data to our systems.
We’re building a global network of these stations, and we need hosts. If you have space to mount a small unit with access to open sky, you could be part of the infrastructure behind better weather forecasts.
